We are in search of a HR Generalist to join our workforce located in South Gate, California. This role involves a range of functions in the Human Resources department, including recruitment, employee relations, and payroll administration. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment.
Responsibilities
Leading full-cycle recruitment efforts, encompassing job advertisement, candidate sourcing, resume screening, conducting interviews, and proposing hiring decisions.
Acting as the primary point for employee inquiries, concerns, and resolving conflicts.
Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Staying updated with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and ensuring company policies and procedures are compliant.
Collaborating with finance and accounting teams for accurate reporting and budget management.
Assisting in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
Assisting in the creation and delivery of training programs on various HR topics.
Conducting regular audits of HR processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistency and fairness.
Supporting employee development initiatives, including performance evaluations and career development plans.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Proven experience as an HR Generalist, demonstrating comprehensive understanding of all HR functions.
Proficiency in using Paylocity software for HR management tasks.
Strong knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate HR policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and employee management.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
