Who we are looking for :
We are currently searching for a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to be based out of our Electrical Cable & Flexible Conduit facility in New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Sr. HR Generalist will lead and execute talent acquisition, employee / labor relations and lead various human resources projects and processes. This person will collaborate with their local client group to help shape and implement the overall business strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field, and a minimum of years human resources experience. Labor relations / union experience strongly preferred. Experience working in a lean manufacturing, business system-based company environment is preferred.
What you'll do :
- Function as a strategic business partner to all employee groups in creating and leading HR solutions.
- Provide HR support in new initiative rollouts in the form of innovative ideas, communication, change management, and thought partnership.
- Provide coaching to managers and supervisors regarding employee relations, difficult conversations, and process improvements.
- Perform advanced employee relations functions including support and counseling related to conflicts, dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of suspension and termination requests while balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs.
- Manage the talent acquisition and retention process to achieve hiring and retention goals.
- Conduct workplace investigations and report out on findings as needed.
- Report out on HR metrics and prepare presentations as required.
- Drive Engagement and Alignment (cultural) initiatives for the facility.
- Maintain affirmative action program; prepare EEO- report annually; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Promote Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Engagement and Alignment positive employee relations throughout the workplace.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements, and ensure organizational compliance.
- Assist in developing new policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives to meet business needs.
