Summary :

Tetra Tech's Salt Lake City, UT office is currently seeking an experienced Geologist to join our high-performing team to continue providing top of the line client services. The Geologist will be responsible for field oversight, assistance with engineering design development under the supervision of Senior Engineers, assist with project management tasks, correspond with clients to meet project needs, lead and conduct field tasks, and other duties as assigned. This position may offer hybrid working opportunities, but the candidate must reside within 50 miles of the local SLC, UT office.

Your Role :

• Serve as field-oriented task leader on large and complex projects, providing instruction or guidance to junior level staff.
• Grow our business by strengthening relationships with existing clients and supporting expansion into new markets.
• Prepare concise and clear written documentation of project activities in the form of field logs and notes, technical memoranda, and section of technical reports, as required.
• Develop cost estimates.
• Develop bid specifications and contract documents as required.
• Assist Senior and Principal Engineers and Scientists with remedial option evaluations.
• Lead and conduct field tasks associated with geologic logging, environmental sampling, geotechnical drilling, construction oversight, and site reconnaissance.
• Maintain strong problem solving, time management, and communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
