Description

Note : For consideration, a letter of application, resume, copies of all transcripts, and two letters of reference are required and must be uploaded with your application. The University of Houston-Downtown is currently seeking an Adjunct, Geology in the College of Sciences and Technology. Successful candidates will teach a first-semester integrated lecture and laboratory non-major Physical Geology course titled Earth Science I. Students are introduced to the basic groups of rocks and their component minerals. Students will also learn to read topographic maps that cover coastal erosion, fluvial, glacial, and Aeolian processes. In addition to teaching the course, the adjunct faculty will write and grade exams and will be responsible for submitting final grades. EEO / AA

Qualifications

At least a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours in graduate-level Geology courses.
