Freese and Nichols is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join our team. This person can be located in any of Freese and Nichols' offices. This role will primarily support FEMA Risk MAP (Risk Mapping, Assessment, and planning) projects. The selected candidate will support teams of GIS, engineering, and administrative professionals towards the successful completion of a variety of FEMA Risk MAP objectives.
Primary Objective(s) :
- The Senior GIS Analyst is primarily responsible for FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) production and quality end user adoption for GIS technologies, including tasks such as data collection and development, data QA / QC, map production, and training users on GIS software.
- Independently lead and coordinate tasks within a Risk MAP flood study lifecycle, such as basemap, terrain, FIRM database development, floodplain mapping, preliminary issuance, and post-preliminary processing, and delegate tasks to multiple supporting staff across diverse geographies.
- Perform GIS analytical and geo-processing functions including input, editing, manipulation, management, analysis, and output of spatial and tabular data sets using ArcGIS or other GIS software.
- Develop vector spatial analysis models using ModelBuilder, Python, or other GIS scripting languages.
