The District's mission is, to acquire and hold lands containing forests, prairies, wetlands and associated plant communities or lands capable of being restored to such natural conditions for the purpose of protecting and preserving the flora, fauna and scenic beauty for the education, pleasure and recreation of its citizens.

Job Summary

This position conducts sales of food and beverage items on District golf courses using a motorized cart or an on-course concession station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food items such as hot dogs, sandwiches, and snacks to golfers.
• Follow BASSET guidelines for checking Identification and stopping service to individuals that appear intoxicated.
• Operate coffee machines, draft systems, food warmers, cookers, and convection ovens.
• Monitor the age and condition of food products and follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices in food preparation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, and organized workstation including equipment, tables, shelves, and floors. Ensure that workstations are adequately stocked with food items and supplies and that equipment is in working order.
• Operate a Point-of-Sale system to process customer payments.
• Operate a beverage cart and golf carts.
• Document and reconcile inventory of food and drink items.
• Foster a working environment that promotes safe work habits; Become familiar with and observe all applicable safety rules, policies, and work procedures; Follow all safety rules that pertain to the duties performed and support all aspects of the District's safety and risk management program; Keep work area clean, orderly, and free of hazards; Immediately report all unsafe conditions and incidents.
• Maintain a supportive working environment and demonstrate a desire to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements :

Schedule : Position starts on or after March 16th. Variable schedule during the golf season based on business needs, may include weekdays and / or weekends. Shifts may be any time between 7 AM and sunset.

Pay : $9.00 per hour, plus tips.

Work Environment : Requires working outdoors in a golf setting. Exposure to all weather conditions, insects, and kitchen equipment including heaters and ovens.

Location : Maple Meadows Golf Course in Wood Dale, IL.
