About Our Client
Our client is a leading commercial / government GC who has been around for over 65+ years. They are a top 400 ENR contractor and work on various projects such as commercial, education, healthcare, civic, municipal, and government. They are originally based out of California, but are following a client over to the Maryland area. They have numerous upcoming projects on the Indian Head military base. They are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join the team and take ownership of exciting, high-profile projects.
Job Description
The Construction Superintendent - Government Experience - Leading GC will have the following responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of multiple projects with budgets up to $30M.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project timelines, quality, and budget are met.
- Manage both self-performed and subcontracted work, providing oversight of subcontractor performance.
- Provide estimates and manage the construction means and methods related to commercial and institutional buildings.
- Ensure projects comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including maintaining current safety certifications.
- Monitor and report on project progress to senior management, ensuring timely execution and resolution of any issues that arise.
- Utilize project management software and other tools to track project status, costs, and timelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field OR 7+ years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a commercial or industrial general contractor, or 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record of managing projects in construction, including estimating and managing subcontracted and self-performed work.
- Experience with construction methods for commercial and institutional buildings and site work.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting is preferred.
- Current OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
- CQC certification issued by USACE / NAVFAC is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a secuity clearance is a plus
- Competitive salary up to $160,000
- Monthly vehicle allowance, gas card, EZ pass, and paid parking.
- 10% - 15% annual performance-based bonus.
- 3 weeks vacation + 6 sick days accrued annually.
- 401(k) with 50% company match up to 6%, vested 25% each year.
