Job Posting

The City of Covina is hiring for a Police Officer position. The salary range is $89,354.82 to $116,962.53 annually. The job is located in Covina, CA and is a full-time position. The job number is 2025-00005 and the department is the Police Department. Applications are encouraged to be submitted early as this is a continuous recruitment.

There are hiring incentives available including three installments of $10,000 paid upon completion of the fifth full pay period, upon successful completion of the field training program, and upon successful completion of the probationary period.

The essential functions of the job include patrolling assigned areas, enforcing traffic laws, conducting investigations, and training less experienced personnel.

Minimum qualifications include a combination of education and experience that provides necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for a Police Officer. A high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in law enforcement, and a valid Class C California driver's license and Basic Certificate from P.O.S.T. are required. The candidate must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible and has applied for U.S. citizenship.
