Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Writer with a minimum of seven years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus three years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of writing fundamentals, editorial styles, and publication guidelines. The role requires superior interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse population. The candidate must demonstrate tact, diplomacy, flexibility, and professionalism. A deep understanding of the location’s mission, goals, achievements, infrastructure, programs, and policies is essential. The candidate should also have thorough knowledge of higher education issues, specialized academic disciplines, or health sciences. Proficiency in computer applications for publishing, image handling, and web production is required, along with strong research and fact verification skills. Analytical and critical thinking skills, experience in data collection, management, and analysis using web tools, relational databases, statistical software, and spreadsheets are necessary. Attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills are crucial. The candidate must maintain confidentiality and have experience writing NIH grants and working on industry-sponsored studies. Experience with NIH grants or similar is beneficial, and recent PhD graduates with relevant writing samples are encouraged to apply. This role involves collaboration with finance personnel on budgeting. The Research Center focuses on pharmaceutical clinical trials and PI initiated studies, particularly on biomarkers for NAFLD, NASH, advanced liver fibrosis, and HCC.
