Our Buildings Places practice includes architecture interiors building and system engineering urbanism and planning (inclusive of landscape design) strategy economics technology solutions asset advisory and cost and program management.  This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create.  Our California studio focuses on the Commercial / Corporate Science and Technology Higher Education and Federal market sectors.  We look to combine beauty sustainability resiliency equity and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.

Some of our recent projects include the Shell Technology Center Campus Revisioning City of Chicago Joint Public Safety Training Campus the Illinois Autonomous and Connected Track and a new corporate global headquarters. Our Chicago studio also designs all the AECOM offices nationally.

AECOM  is seeking a  Design Intern  to join the buildings & places team in the  Denver Colorado  office.

This position is expected to begin in February 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of science alternatives.
