Job Description

Under general supervision, perform graphic design, video, and photography job functions as assigned by management. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned :

Prepare layouts, designs, artwork, and formats for use in various products.

Design, lay out, and produce artwork such as logos, graphs, charts, posters, signs, flyers, etc. that maintains the organization's brand.

Photograph and edit photos for use in various internal and external materials.

Capture and edit video, perform interviews and write scripts for use in various internal and external materials.

Assist with the development and deployment of visual media.

Respond to stakeholder feedback (written, electronic, face-to-face).

Support planning, material preparation, and execution of public and stakeholder events.

Assist with formulation and deployment of strategic, targeted communications planning.

Perform duties of general / routine-to-moderate complexity in nature.

Other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university in a related field or five years of relevant experienceRelevant DOE public affairs experience and or representing government interests is preferredExperience communicating and disseminating program information which results in an understanding of the agency's mission and activitiesKnowledge of risk communication strategiesStrong conceptual and creative abilitiesStrong writing and editing skills for clear, coherent, and concise narrativesStrong presentation development and oral communication skillsDetailed knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel)Detailed knowledge and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere)Animation graphics is a plusMust have strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently or in a team environmentExhibit a high degree of professionalism in the production of deliverables and in interactions with fellow employees and client personnelPreferred Qualifications

Knowledge of web design and social media applicationsExperience with Microsoft SharePoint, Office and Adobe Creative SuiteDuration : Direct Hire

Federal Government Clearance :

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and may require subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
