Position Description
The EV Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing and accelerating the design process for EV charging infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality, efficiency, and timely design execution, directly contributing to improved cash flow, profitability, and project success.
This is a remote position; however, candidates will be required to visit job sites as needed, primarily in California.
Traveling Requirements : This position requires approximately 25 percent overnight travel, primarily within Northern California, with occasional travel to Southern California. The company will cover all related travel expenses, including per-diem, transportation, and hotel accommodation. Advance notice will be provided for all travel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist and manage design efforts for EV charging infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and client specifications.
- Develop and optimize project layouts using AutoCAD and other tools, integrating inputs from internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support full project lifecycle from bid to closeout by enhancing design efficiency, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring alignment between plans and field conditions through site visits.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to provide design insights, implement modifications, and resolve issues effectively.
- Coordinate and manage project execution across multiple sites, including budgeting, scheduling, and tracking key milestones and vendor deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders, communicating updates, ensuring timely deliverables, and overseeing closeout activities including punch list resolution and final documentation.
