Adjunct Lecturer - Graphic Arts & Design (Mesa)

Position : Adjunct Lecturer - Graphic Arts & Design
Department : Arts, Communication, and Education (Mesa Campus)
Classification : Part-time, Non-benefit eligible
Rate : $1400 per contact hour (with a terminal degree) and $1200 per contact hour (without a terminal degree). This compensation is per contact hour and is subject to change based on class size.
Brief overview of duties : The Graphic Arts and Design program at Mesa is seeking qualified candidates to teach Graphic Design courses.
Ideal candidates will have expertise in both traditional graphic design for print and digital media, as well as a strong understanding of contemporary
design technologies and industry trends. Instructors should be able to teach a range of courses, from foundational to advanced levels, incorporating
skills such as UI / UX design, motion graphics, AR / VR, and / or 3D printing, as appropriate, to prepare students for the evolving design landscape.
Successful applicants will be expected to teach one or two courses each semester, with each course consisting of 4 contact hours.
RequiredQualifications :
- Terminal degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred
- Work experience or knowledge of related industries preferred
- Teaching experience at the university level preferred
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe CC, Figma, etc.)
- Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in graphic design, including UI / UX design, motion graphics, AR / VR, and / or 3D printing
