Now hiring for 2nd Shift!
Mixer
Set up, operate, or tend machines to mix or blend materials, such as, liquids, color pigments, or ingredients.
- Measures dry & liquid ingredients
- Prepares ink for production floor labels with ink name and PMS color (if necessary), date ink mixed
- Completes ink worksheets
- Completes quality checks prior to moving colors from kettles
- Prepares base for production floor labels with base name.
- Completes batch worksheets
- Completes quality checks prior to transferring to a container.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies of colors for production needs
- References production schedules & pulls mixing batch cards
- Calculates the amount of each colors & needed ingredients
- Locates & obtains each color on the production floor
- Cleans all equipment as needed and as soon as practically possible
- Cleans mixing room including floors, doors, and pipes as needed and as soon as practically possible
- Keeps drums and powder bins full
- Records lot number and dates ingredients used on the lot tracking log
Qualifications :
Physical Activities :
Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stoop, pull, push twist, bend, and reach. Must also be able to maintain balance when lifting and demonstrate manual dexterity when adjusting machines.
