Qualified candidates are required to perform rigorous physical labor. Candidates are required understand the basic use of hand tools and the basic rigging, hand lines and lineman knot tyings. This position requires the upmost attention to safety while working on construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized electric lines. Groundman is an entry-level position in the construction, maintenance and repair of transmission and distribution systems, both overhead and underground.
