The Maintenance Mechanic II role is an intermediate facility maintenance position whose core job duties.
What You Will Do
- Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on all facility and process related equipment to include make-up air units (MAU), natural gas fired generators, oil/water separators, cooling water towers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, variable frequency drives, boilers, steam systems, and associated equipment
- Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
- Observe and follow environmental, health and safety procedures
- Positively represent Collins Aerospace's company vision and support the management team
- Know, understand, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and consistently implemented
- Analyze and repair all malfunctioning equipment or systems , Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electro-mechanical
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Distributive Control Systems
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Operate the following equipment and tools:
Forklift3-ton and 5-ton CranesKubota UTVVarious hand toolsVarious power toolsDigital MultimeterAlignment Tools - Perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action
- Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained
Rotating Shift Structure: - 4-on/4-off Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00AM - 7:00PM
Compensation- Built-in, guaranteed overtime
- "Free" hours on non-overtime weeks
- Compensation: $28-$32/hr

Qualifications You Must Have - HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma a GED is required.
- 2 or more years of experience in a maintenance or other mechanical focused role
Qualifications We Prefer- Background in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
- 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Must possess and practice good people skills
- Must have the ability to solve problems and exercise creativity to develop and/or
- Implement practical solutions
- Must have the ability to evaluate work and exercise judgment
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office
