Job Summary
Incumbent is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of United American Indian Involvement, Inc.'s (UAII's) employees, clients, visitors, and property. The Security Guard will be tasked with patrolling designated areas, responding to safety and security threats, and establishing a security presence. The incumbent will be trained on all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to their position and be expected to provide excellent customer service and assist in emergency response situations .
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Welcome visitors, sign them in, and direct them to the front office for check-in .
- Monitor parking area to ensure employees, clients and visitors are parked in their designated spaces.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, and access points throughout the day .
- Communicate regularly with receptionist, admin staff, event lead or housing manager (if at housing property) regarding special events or visits that might impact parking or require a heightened level of security.
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
- Complete incident reports and documentation needed for all security incidents.
- Ensure all employees (or residents) and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes).
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy.
- Assist or redirect employees (or housing residents) and visitors with any concerns they might have .
- Escalate emergencies to law enforcement as needed .
- Be always alert to your surrounding .
- Monitor alarms and security cameras.
- Write up incident reports and daily reports of ongoings at the assigned building or event.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned .
