Job Summary

Were looking for a highly skilled Hair Stylist with strong managerial experience to join our team! In this role, you'll create flawless hairstyles for clients while also supporting the smooth operation and growth of our business. As a stylist, youll provide shampoo, blowouts, and other hair services using both basic and advanced techniques. Ideally, were seeking someone with expertise in hair extensions to further enhance our offerings.

Were looking for someone with excellent experience in both hair styling and business management. While you wont be managing the other stylists (as they are independent contractors), you will play a key role in running the business, helping it grow, and offering support to our team.

Youll work closely with clients to recommend the best products and styles tailored to their individual needs, ensuring that every customer leaves the salon feeling fantastic about their hair and the service they received. Hair Stylist Responsibilities :

Provide Hair Services : Perform shampoo, blowouts, and other styling services using both basic and advanced techniques.

• Hair Extensions : Apply and maintain hair extensions (if experienced in this area).
• Client Consultations : Offer personalized consultations to clients, recommending hairstyles and products based on individual needs and preferences.
• Customer Experience : Ensure every client leaves the salon feeling satisfied with their hairstyle and overall experience.
• Maintain Cleanliness : Keep your station and salon space clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary tools and products.
• Stay Current on Trends : Keep up-to-date with the latest hair trends, techniques, and products to offer clients the best services available.

Managerial Responsibilities :

Assist with Business Operations : Help manage the daily operations of the salon, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

• Support Stylists : Provide support to independent contractor stylists, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.
• Client Relations : Address client concerns or feedback and ensure a high standard of service across all areas of the salon.
• Business Growth : Contribute to the growth of the salon by suggesting and implementing strategies to attract and retain clients.
• Inventory Management : Assist in tracking inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring the salon is well-stocked with products and tools.
• Team Support : Foster a positive, team-oriented environment by helping with administrative tasks and providing guidance where needed.

This role combines the artistry of hair styling with the responsibility of supporting salon operations, and were looking for someone who can excel in both areas!

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a cosmetology school is required
• Managerial Experience (1 year min)
• Hair stylist (blow dry bar) experience (2 years / 3-4 Preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of hair styling techniques and best practices
• Skilled at blow drying, straightening, and curling techniques
• Familiar with a variety of treatment products
• Familiar with current beauty trends
• Familiar with reporting
