Title: Senior Accountant
Company: Renewable Energy Industry
Compensation: 45-48/hr (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Revenue Recognition & Monthly Accounting

  • Oversee revenue recognition for operating projects, including utility, energy, and environmental attribute invoicing
  • Manage collections and posting of cash receipts
  • Prepare standardized monthly journal entries related to operating expenses, including depreciation, amortization of prepaid insurance, asset retirement obligation accretion, routine accruals, inventory consumption, deferred revenue, and intercompany transactions

• Monthly Review & Reconciliations

  • Perform monthly analyses to ensure account balances reconcile to the trial balance
  • Complete and review intercompany reconciliations

• Audit Support

  • Partner with the portfolio reporting function to prepare audit support for both IFRS and US GAAP
  • Provide documentation related to revenue invoicing, cash collections, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Working knowledge of US GAAP reporting requirements
• 5+ years of experience
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
