Overview
Intelligent Waves is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to provide end-to-end systems engineering services, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and documentation. Responsibilities include system installation, configuration, hardening, troubleshooting, automation of tasks, and development of detailed documentation to support operations. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to DoD and Air Force standards, and flexibility to support mission-critical operations, including occasional domestic and international travel.

Location : This Systems Engineer position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada at Nellis AFB .
Travel : Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Travel will be reimbursed based on GSA Per Diem rates and DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
Security Clearance : This Systems Engineer must be a United States Citizen and hold a current Secret security clearance. Ability to obtain a TS / SCI eligibility.
Adherence to all customer site protocols is mandatory for employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end systems engineering services, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, installation, configuration, hardening, solution documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Develop comprehensive documentation (CONOPS, TTPs, SOPs) for system installation, configuration, hardening, testing, and operational procedures.
- Support IT infrastructure engineering for Hyperconverged IT Solutions, NAS, S3 storage, and end-user devices.
- Leverage expertise with Dell technologies (VxRail, PowerEdge Servers, PowerScale Isilon, DellEMC ECS Solutions) and environments such as Windows and Red Hat Linux.
- Apply experience with IT applications, including Microsoft SQL Server, Apache Hadoop, and CHEETAS.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and O&M tasks using scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, architectural guidelines, and DoD / AF regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Operations & Maintenance, and Users) to evolve and enhance system functionality.
- Be available for occasional travel (CONUS and OCONUS), including via military and commercial aircraft.
- Work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime) to meet mission requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operational goals.
