Exact StaffChatsworth, California, United StatesOur client is an amazing major non-profit organization that provides early child-care services to those of low-income communities, scattered throughout California. They have multiple locations; Chatsworth, Van Nuys, and Lancaster.
We are searching for an aspiring and smart Head Start Teacher to join our client. This is one of our most exciting positions in this field!
This is a full-time, temporary position
Regular shift Monday to Friday 7 : 30 am to 5 : 45 pm (Overtime offered)
If you are not able, hours can be Monday to Friday 8 : 00 am-4 : 30 pm
While working under the Center Director, you will be responsible for providing quality preschool services for children enrolled in their Head Start program. You will promote activities designed to stimulate learning in all developmental domains and encourage Family Engagement in all aspects of the program.
You will also :
- Provide ongoing assessment of progress and facilitate transition activities into kindergarten.
- Plan and implement center services, and ensure the center operates successfully from opening to closing.
- Developing individual goals for the children and curriculum for age-appropriate activities that may take place indoors or outdoors.
- Adapting the curriculum to meet all children's needs, including risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.
- Partnering with parents to provide care for all preschoolers, including feeding and diapering.
- Provide and participate in all classroom and parent conferences, MDTM, home visits, IEP / IFSP processes, and meetings.
- Ensuring required reports are adequate and timely submitted to the Agency and the State.
- Submitting weekly lesson plans that are accurate and timely to the Center Director for Review
- Ensure consistent adherence to Suspected Child Abuse reporting policies, procedures, and documentation by all center and regional staff.
