Overview of Responsibilities

At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Head Cashier is responsible for the supervision of a team of cashiers and assistance with operational issues.

• Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction / support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks
• Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
• Assign store sweeps, monitor / maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
• Maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
• Schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
• Assist in the hiring and training of new Cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions
