Mental Health Provider Assistant (CMA or CNA Strongly Preferred)

The mental health provider assistant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides services to Alivation Health's patient population. This multidisciplinary team will perform services in patient visits, transcranial magnetic stimulation, ketamine, research, injection clinic, and other services under the supervision and direction of a provider. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities and requires a highly professional demeanor, rapport-building communication skills, comfort with operation of medical devices, and the ability to efficiently handle the workflow.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Handles confidential information requiring professional discretion and compliance with protected health information, data integrity and security policies.
  • Assists physicians with patient visits (including putting patients in rooms, interviewing patients, recording vital signs, and enters information in patients' electronic medical record).
  • Ensures all related reports, labs, and documentation are filed and available.
  • Validate that all orders for services are complete (with appropriate medically necessary diagnosis, treatment plans, and authorizations).
  • Completes safety screenings, consents, and rating scales.
  • Follow patients care to ensure compliance with treatment plan.
  • Administers and documents medication under physician's order.
  • Assists in marketing efforts to refer patients and staff about our new service lines with educational materials.
  • Coordinates with providers or clinical staff to resolve issues regarding prior authorization, referrals or clarification on orders or refill requests.
  • Other administrative office duties include, but are not limited to scheduling appointments, scanning medical information to electronic chart, keeps office neat and clean, and ensures that supplies are maintained.
  • Qualifications : State of Nebraska CMA or CNA License Preferred | Proficient Medical Terminology | Familiar with EMR Systems | Familiar with Microsoft Platforms | Strong Time Management & Organizational Skills | High Attention to Detail | Excellent Problem-Solving Skills | Proficient in Phlebotomy & Injection Skills

    Experience : Relevant healthcare work | Volunteer experience in a high-volume clinic setting preferred.

    Compensation : $18-$22
