Division and Program Overview :

Client Health Services a Division of Public Health. Family Health Services (FHS) provides education, medical case management and connecting to resources for pregnant women, children and families.

Job Summary :

The Family Health Services Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of Family Health Services including Parents as Teachers, Maternal Child Health, KidsFirst, and Nurse Family Partnership. Manages and builds relationships between the community, staff, providers and clinics. The manager brings content expertise and knowledge surrounding the program elements, deliverables and metrics. Work is performed to ensure efficiency of program delivery, incorporating integrity and innovation to ensure a high level of customer service.

Essential Functions / Major Duties and Responsibilities :

A. Program Management 45%

  • Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of all personnel in the department.
  • Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for the service line and public health services.
  • Plan, implement, and administer programs and services in public health services including personnel administration, training, and coordination.
  • Review and analyze facility activities and data to aid planning and cash and risk management and to improve service utilization.
  • Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space, and equipment availability.
  • Prepare activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation plans of programs, services, and quality initiatives.
  • Inspect facilities and recommend building or equipment modifications to ensure emergency readiness and compliance to access, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain communication between governing boards, medical staff, and department heads by attending board meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning.
  • Conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting.
  • Develop instructional materials and conduct in-service and community-based educational programs.
  • Excellent internal communication with other RiverStone employees, and providers to ensure efficiencies and quality customer service.
  • Willingness and ability to ensure quality work, support of others and participate in quality improvement processes.
  • Represent RiverStone Health in meetings, trainings or public events when needed.

B. Family Health Services (FHS) 50%

  • Performs supervision of staff in FHS
  • Develops and coordinates regular staff meetings
  • Maintains all state regulatory requirements for all programs
  • Coordinates staffing, orientation, training, evaluations, career development and discipline
  • Interviews, selects and hires staff in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Develops annual budget and provides input on budgetary considerations
  • Applies for grants as needed
  • Engages in public health leadership, including accreditation and special projects for the betterment of public health
  • Participates in all emergent and nonemergent functions of Public Health Services as assigned.
  • Supervises and plans for outreach into the community for all programs.
  • Coordinates with both local and state entities to provide for both fiscal and programmatic needs for all programs.
  • Non-Essential Functions / Other duties as assigned 5%

    Perform other duties as assigned in support of the RiverStone's mission and goals.

    Education and Experience :

    Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience including two years of supervisory responsibilities
  • Any combination of experience and training which provide the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

  • Valid State of Montana Driver's License in good standing
  • Required to obtain emergency preparedness on the job training at a minimum of ICS 100, 200, 300, 400 and 700
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures, practices, and equipment.

  • Responsible for the Family Health Services budget of $1,140,000 that supports 14 FTE's in 4 program areas
