Position Overview :
The Behavioral Health Clinician is responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. This role involves assessing client needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care. The clinician will work in diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, or community-based organizations, to support the mental and emotional well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Assessment and Diagnosis :
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to identify mental health needs and formulate accurate diagnoses based on DSM-5 criteria.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client goals and needs.
Respond to mental health crises by providing de-escalation, stabilization, and appropriate follow-up care.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.
Participate in outreach and education efforts to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
Masterr’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program.
Active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent (state-specific requirements apply). Provisional licensure may be considered based on experience.
Clinical experience in mental health settings, including experience with diverse populations and presenting issues.
Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
