Job descriptionApply energy and fun in working with participants through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, involvement, and empowerment of youth. Ensure participants are always properly supervised. Be aware of and implement safety guidelines, especially related to COVID-19 procedures. Use our foundation curriculum to provide a progression of activities within the framework of individual and group interests and abilities. Provide the daily care of each participant within your supervision including recognition of personal health needs. Be alert to participants and staff needs and assist them with personal and / or health problems; discuss with the Youth Director when appropriate. Be alert to equipment and facilities to ensure utilization, proper care, and maintenance is adhered to; report repairs needed promptly to Youth Director. Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures. Set a good example for participants and others regarding general league procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule, and sportsmanship. Provide parents appropriate feedback and information as needed for their participants to have a successful experience. Follow safety and security protocols when participants are in public while presenting a positive image of the program. Assign campers to groups, assess their ability to work on different skills, and offer regular feedback to continuously improve performance. Check with the Youth Director that all necessary forms are in place before a child enters any program, including up-to-date registration packets, waivers, fees, etc. Monitor the daily camp enrollment and maintain accurate attendance records for staff and campers. Maintain and enforce all league safety rules and policies; recognize, prevent, and correct safety hazards; monitor the health and safety of all campers and staff. Ensure that all program equipment and supplies are ordered, available, and properly maintained during the summer Act as a key player in problem solving staff / camper issues and parental concerns; be able to identify camper behavior issues and respond with corrective steps Must be 18 years of age or older. Able to interact with all age levels. Experience working with 5-8th grade children required. Demonstrated leadership experience (staff management experience a plus). Camp experience is a bonus, though not required.

- Can communicate with players, parents, and program coordinators in a positive manner.
- Have good character and act as a positive role model.
Description :
1. Direct, supervise, and organize participants within activities and throughout the program in order to meet the intended player outcomes.
2. Develop and implement activities for participants within the program’s guidelines with help from the program director.
3. Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for participants and staff.
4. Be a role model to participants and staff in your attitude and behavior.
5. Represent the program when interacting with parents or community members.
