Leading the development, evaluation, and implementation of Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and BHP policies affecting AI/AN beneficiaries and Indian health care providers, including IHS, Tribes, Tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations.
Providing oversight of CMS Tribal Consultation requirements by identifying the need for Tribal consultation in the development of CMS policies and regulations having Tribal implications.
Developing and reviewing policy issues and drafts policy documents, regulations, procedures, Medicare contractor policy issuances, Medicaid State Agency policy, or private health insurance operating instructions and related documents.
Providing leadership and coordination across Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and BHP programs, collaborating with federal, state, local, Tribal, territorial, provider, consumer, and policy stakeholders to advance program goals and initiatives.
