Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist to join their compassionate Social Work team. This role plays a vital part in an clinical team, advocating for each patient's behavioral health needs and overseeing a caseload to ensure comprehensive therapy and support. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patients' lives while enjoying a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Setting : Outpatient clinic
Population : Geriatrics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments to identify patients' needs, preferences, and goals. Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop specific goals and interventions.
Deliver and document behavioral health interventions in accordance with patients' care plans. This includes symptom management, counseling, crisis intervention, and coordinating necessary resources and services.
Facilitate individual and group therapies, utilizing various approaches such as art and music therapy, psychosocial drama, counseling, and discussion to help restore or enhance patients' social roles.
Provide training to staff on recognizing behavioral health symptoms and implementing effective interventions.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW or by the California Board of Psychologists as a Psychologist
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in behavioral health, specifically in conducting therapy, completing assessments, and managing care planning needs
At least two (2) years of experience working with frail or elderly populations
Benefits :
Salary : $99,309 - $119,171 / year + Bonus + Equity
