For over 40 years, IVC has been a leading provider of machine health diagnostics and consulting services. With more than 50 certified experts servicing over 500 industrial customers in North America, we help all sectors of our economy run more productive and efficient operations.
We are proud to be a privately owned company with a values-centered culture and continuous development opportunities. Our customer base includes some of the biggest names in the industry, which means a large variety of facilities and learning opportunities for all our employees.
Our analysts operate the most modern tools and systems and are supported 24 / 7 by leading industry experts. We provide internal training programs covering multiple technologies, with theoretical and hands-on training, as well as extensive mentorship for less experienced team members.
In terms of culture, IVC is proud to foster flexibility and independence in our employees. This tends to attract people with strong character, resilience, and get-it-done attitudes. We are a great fit for professionals with a sense of ownership who appreciate being free to create schedules, deliver high-quality service, and build long-lasting customer relationships.
Role Description
This is an ENTRY LEVEL ROLE located in Houston, TX with no previous experience required.
We are committed to providing a rapid training program that will ensure that trainees achieve appropriate certifications within 12 months (CAT2) and become fully independent analysts (CAT3) within 24 months of hire. Salary increases and an introduction to our industry-leading commission program will reward the ability to fulfill our expectations.
As part of your training, you will be assigned to regional team leaders who will be your daily mentors. They will provide hands-on training, field experience, and guidance in interactions with customers. They will also help you prepare for your certification courses and further your career afterward.
While applicants are not required to have previous experience in vibration analysis or other predictive maintenance techniques, we are primarily looking for individuals with a genuine interest in machinery and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems, preferably with technical education and recent field experience.
As your technical expertise develops, you will gradually start taking responsibility for a group of industrial facilities and service them regularly, alone or with your team members. Primary responsibilities :
- Regular interaction with customers and scheduling of your on-site services
- On-site data collection and predictive analysis, according to company standards
- Remote surveillance and analysis, where wireless systems are present
- Isolate and identify failure modes in industrial equipment
- Create analytical summary reports according to company standards
- Communicate findings and produce deliverables to customers in a timely and professional way
- Maintaining customer relationships with appropriate on-site contacts
- Perform equipment walk-downs and gather information when requested
- Perform one-off field services when asked by customers or company
