ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and company safety policies.
• Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and training programs tailored to each client's unique needs and project requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that safety measures are effectively integrated into project planning and execution.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture and promote a proactive approach to risk management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and actively participate in continuous professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

BCSP certification as a Certified Health Safety Technician (CHST) or other relevant certification.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in a consulting or advisory role.

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NYC building codes, and other relevant safety standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.

A strong commitment to safety, integrity, and professionalism.

A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites within the New York City Metropolitan area (preferred).
