Description

Competitive 10 week paid educational experience that provides students exposure to Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Healthcare Administration. Students will develop a working knowledge of orthopedic healthcare operations to a degree that allows successful completion of a final project supporting a variety of healthcare operations. Students will be a part of a cohort designed to foster a sense of community, creativity and leadership development at a predetermined pace. The internship also serves as an opportunity for students to identify and evaluate areas of interest within Orthopedic Healthcare Administration. Interns will be exposed to real life situations including being able to shadow various clinicians in the clinic. At the end of the summer, the Administrative Intern will provide a brief presentation to senior leaders to highlight their internship achievements and areas of interest.

24 Hours per week

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience. We offer the following benefits to those who are benefit eligible (30+ hours a week) : medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long and short term disability, 401k program with company match and profit sharing, wellness program, health savings accounts, flexible savings accounts, ID protection plan and accident, critical illness and hospital benefits. Requirements

Currently enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university undergraduate program related to healthcare, business administration, human resources or a closely related discipline

Completion of Sophomore year preferred

Ability to commute to the central business office and nearby facilities

3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (Transcript required)
