Essential Job Functions

1. Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to define and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's long-term goals.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities, potential markets, and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide insightful, data-driven forecasting and budgeting to the executive team and board.
  • Serve as a key spokesperson for the company at industry events, with major clients, and to key stakeholders.

2. Revenue Growth & Performance Management:

  • Assume full ownership of the company's revenue targets, building and managing a predictable, scalable sales pipeline to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and implement key performance metrics (KPIs) for the sales team, holding them accountable for activity levels, pipeline growth, and closing ratios.
  • Master the complexities of selling capital equipment, software (SaaS), and service solutions into hospital systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and senior living organizations.
  • Personally engage in and help close strategic, high-value enterprise deals.

3. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Foster a winning culture centered on our core mission of enabling human caring, celebrating success, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop world-class sales talent, ensuring the team is structured for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Implement robust training programs focused on product knowledge, complex solution selling, and negotiation.

4. Operational Excellence & Collaboration:

  • Optimize the sales process, methodologies, and infrastructure (including CRM utilization) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to develop effective lead generation strategies and create compelling sales enablement tools.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to provide market feedback that informs the product roadmap and future innovation.
  • Work with Finance and Operations on pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and sales commission structures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 7-10 years in a senior sales leadership role.
  • Industry Expertise: A proven track record of success within the healthcare technology industry is required. Specific experience with Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS), patient monitoring, nurse call, life safety, or similar capital/SaaS solutions sold into acute care or senior living is highly preferred.
  • Customer Focus: Deep experience selling to C-level executives (CNO, CIO, CEO, CFO) and economic buyers within large hospital systems, IDNs, and national senior living chains.
  • Leadership: An inspirational and hands-on leader with a history of building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing sales teams across distributed geographies.
  • Strategic Acumen: The ability to transition seamlessly between high-level strategic planning and tactical, in-the-weeds execution.
  • Data-Driven: A strong command of sales metrics, forecasting, and the use of CRM (e.g., Salesforce) to manage performance and drive decision-making.
  • Mission-Aligned: A genuine passion for improving patient safety and healthcare outcomes, with a personal connection to our mission of "enabling human caring."
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% as required for client meetings, team leadership, and industry events.
