Job description

Description

As a result of the combination of the BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), by applying to this role, you will be applying for a position with Waters.

Waters is a global leader in life sciences, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service. With a focus on regulated, high-volume testing environments, Waters’ innovative portfolio harnesses deep scientific expertise across biology, chemistry, and physics. Waters collaborates with analytical laboratories around the world to advance the release of effective, high-quality medicines, assure the safety of food and water, and drive better patient outcomes by detecting diseases earlier, managing routine infections, and combating growing antibiotic resistance. Through a shared culture of relentless innovation, Waters’ passionate team of approximately 16,000 colleagues partner with customers to turn scientific challenges into breakthroughs that improve lives worldwide.

Waters Biosciences is looking for a strategic, data-driven Global Product Marketing Manager to lead growth initiatives across the flow cytometry instrument portfolio. The core focus is driving legacy-to-next-gen instrument transitions; however, the scope extends to broader growth strategies including market expansion, commercial program development, competitive intelligence, and portfolio growth across the Instruments and Informatics Segment.

The ideal candidate is a downstream marketing leader with exceptional data analytics skills and proven ability to influence across functions—driving high-impact, time-critical initiatives within a global matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Initiatives & Instrument Upgrade

  • Own global legacy instrument replacement and upgrade programs end-to-end, including roadmap, segmentation, value propositions, and trade-in/trade-up programs
  • Partner with Global Service to deploy pricing strategies that accelerate platform conversions
  • Ensure a scalable, seamless global trade-in/trade-up process
  • Empower regions to localize execution while maintaining global consistency
  • Track KPIs and dashboards to measure program performance
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities across the portfolio—developing commercial programs to enable market expansion, new customer acquisition, and attach strategies
  • Contribute to annual and long-range planning with market insights and growth projections

Downstream Marketing & Growth Execution

  • Lead downstream marketing strategy and execution across all growth initiatives—upgrade programs, market expansion, new customer acquisition, and attach strategies
  • Develop messaging and positioning that resonates with key customer personas across research, clinical, and industry segments
  • Build and manage multi-channel programs—digital, email, events, webinars—to generate demand and accelerate conversion
  • Partner with regional teams to localize and land global campaigns effectively
  • Develop customer-facing content—brochures, case studies, economic value calculators and web content—to support the buyer journey
  • Build sales enablement tools—Total Cost of Ownership calculators, Return on Investment models, value tools, and objection handling guides—to support growth conversations
  • Collaborate closely with growth marketing and marketing communications to align strategy, messaging, and demand generation across all growth initiatives

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Segment the installed base and build scenario models to prioritize high-impact opportunities
  • Own dashboards tracking installed base performance, conversion rates, funnel health, and program effectiveness
  • Build and maintain TCO calculators and financial tools to support customer and sales conversations
  • Analyze pricing trends, tender activity, and competitive dynamics to sharpen commercial strategy
  • Synthesize data from SFDC, ServiceMax, Power BI, and Excel into clear, actionable executive insights
  • Establish data governance standards and reporting cadences to ensure consistent global visibility

Competitive Intelligence & Market Monitoring

  • Maintain competitive intelligence frameworks tracking positioning, product launches, pricing, and market share
  • Convert competitive insights into actionable messaging, sales tools, and campaign strategies
  • Monitor pricing and tender activity to keep commercial strategies competitive and regionally relevant

Commercial & Regional Execution

  • Partner with regional leaders and sales to drive market penetration and revenue growth
  • Cultivate relationships with strategic customers and key opinion leaders to accelerate adoption
  • Shape long-range marketing plans that cement Waters Biosciences' leadership in flow cytometry

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; MBA or Master's in Immunology, Cell Biology or related scientific discipline is preferred
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or scientific instrumentation
  • Flow cytometry experience required
  • Proven track record building and executing global marketing programs that drive commercial results
  • Strong analytics skills—installed base segmentation, funnel analysis, competitive tracking, pricing, and financial modeling
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Think-Cell, Word and Excel proficiency; experience with Power BI, SFDC, and ServiceMax preferred
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to turn complex data into clear executive narratives - comfortable influencing at all levels
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, change management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
