Certified Healthcare Compliance Specialist | $27 / hour | MON-FRI 8AM to 4 : 30PM | Temp orary | Overland Park, KS
What Matters Most :Job Description :
This role supports the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Department by managing audits, internal controls, document control, risk assessments, HIPAA investigations, CAPA workflows, vendor risk analysis, safety reporting and compliance with federal and state regulations. The Compliance Specialist collaborates cross-functionally to ensure policies, procedures, and client expectations are met while promoting a culture of integrity and ethical business practices.
Responsibilities :
- Support audits, internal reviews, and risk mitigation efforts
- Monitor and verify compliance with internal policies, contracts, SLAs, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct research on regulatory changes and industry standards (HIPAA, GxP, CCPA, Medicare / Medicaid, Stark Law, etc.)
- Maintain logs, conduct breach assessments, and track nonconformances
- Respond to compliance inquiries and complaints; collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues
- Serve as a compliance resource to internal stakeholders
- Document workflows, assessments, and trend reporting
- Stay current through continuing education and relevant certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 1–2 years of experience in compliance, auditing, healthcare, or a related field
- CHC or related compliance certification preferred
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office; Visio; Jira Service Desk a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High emotional intelligence, collaborative mindset, and strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to regulatory changes

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the pay range for this position is $27.00 / hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses, or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
