Job Title Contract Specialist Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Design and Construction Work Schedule and Other Information Generally, working hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, although some flexibility is possible.During the first 6 months of employment, this position will be required to work in office, at 1434 Air Rail Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. After 6 months of successful performance, part or full-time remote work options will be considered. Brief Description Under broad guidance, the Contract Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of professional, technical, and administrative work in support of the Engineering Division and other HRSD divisions related to professional services agreements, construction contracts, and other procurement-related matters. Job Requirements

Education

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field from an accredited university

Experience

Required

Excellent computer skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), Adobe Professional (or similar) applications

Three to five years of increasingly responsible accounting, financial, or procurement experience

Desired

Financial, technical, and legal knowledge and experience in contract preparation and maintenance

Licenses and Certifications Requirements

Valid driver's license from state of residence
