Job descriptionProvides emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Reads and interprets operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs Mobile and stationary processing equipment. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of Trucks, Trailers, and other associated equipment. Prepares and maintains records and reports. Assists with overseeing and maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Program. Complies with OSHA safety and health rules. Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. Properly follows company safety procedures. Brings problems to the attention of the Maintenance Manager or Leadership Team. Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Attends all company-required safety meetings. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment. 3-5 years of experience and / or training in vehicle / construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education. Training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Under limited supervision, the heavy mobile & Industrial equipment mechanic position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and assists with overseeing the preventive maintenance program; performs related work as assigned.
