General Summary
This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating various pieces of heavy mobile equipment including but are not limited to Motor Graders, Dozers, Excavators, Backhoes, Compaction Equipment, Scrapers, and Wheel Loaders in support of safe and efficient completion of construction projects.
Essential Job Accountabilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel, and other materials.
- Perform various activities including but not limited to road building, fine grading, finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, stockpiling, road surface maintenance, building and maintaining road berms, loading trucks, and trenching.
- Operate heavy equipment in accordance with the company's safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure operation of equipment is within capabilities and limitations.
- Perform required safety inspections and complete documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
