Hedge Fund Operations / Accounting Associate
Are you a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a passion for hedge fund operations and accounting? Join our client, a Boston-based SEC-registered investment adviser, as they continue to make an impact in the small-to-mid capitalization segment of the High Yield market. This is your chance to work with a dynamic team in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily trade and cash reconciliations between internal systems and prime brokers, custodians, and banks.
- Ensure timely and accurate trade settlements, coordinating with counterparties and service providers as needed.
- Maintain and update the firm's shadow accounting system daily, ensuring alignment with the fund administrator; collaborate with the Accounting Manager on entries.
- Review monthly accounting reports and investor statements prepared by the fund administrator, ensuring accuracy and consistency before distribution.
- Provide operational and accounting support to portfolio managers, investor relations, and compliance teams as needed.
- Assist in implementing new technologies or tools to enhance operational and accounting workflows.
