Hours : 8am-5pm, M-F
Location : Broken Arrow, OK 74012
Position Type : Temporary (~6 months)
Position Summary : Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products.
Responsibilities
Applies fundamental principles and concepts. Performs the more routine aspects and progresses to more varied and complex activities with development of additional knowledge and experience in the subject matter. Participates in subject matter training as required to gain complex skills.
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates.
Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.
Shapes metal material over anvil, block, or other form.
Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smooths surfaces.
Welds, solders, bolts, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, or bonds component parts to assemble products.
Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints.
Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.
Repairs and maintains sheet metal products.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Trade School Mechanical or Airframe (A&P) preferred
2+ years of relevant experience : aviation related preferred, in a shop environment using hand tools, wood and metal working equipment
PC knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs
Ability to work in a moderate noise environment
