Job description

SUMMARY

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level IT Help Desk Technician to join our support team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting their IT career who is eager to learn, help others, and gain hands-on experience with real-world systems and processes.

About Inventive-Tech : Inventive-Tech is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) that delivers responsive, reliable IT support and solutions to a wide range of businesses. We're committed to creating a positive experience for our clients while helping our team members grow their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Respond to client support requests by phone, email, and remote tools.
  • Troubleshoot common IT issues including login problems, email access, printer issues, and basic software / hardware errors.
  • Document support tickets and steps taken to resolve issues.
  • Assist with setting up and imaging corporate laptops using provided instructions and tools.
  • Help process returns and exchanges of IT hardware (including coordinating shipments and tracking RMAs).
  • Support basic user account tasks such as password resets and user access updates.
  • Maintain organization of IT equipment and help with inventory tracking.
  • Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday with overtime available during projects if desired.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interest in technology and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to manage time well.
  • Some technical training or coursework in IT (degree, certificate, or self-study) is a plus.
  • Experience with PC / laptop hardware or troubleshooting (even from personal use) is helpful.

  • Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally bending at the waist, climbing, kneeling, and stooping for installation of hardware and more

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
