Director Of Education

The Goddard School of Allen (West), TX is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Education to lead our early childhood program with excellence, integrity, and vision. This role is ideal for a strong instructional leader who is passionate about early childhood education, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to developing both children and educators. You will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality standards, mentoring teachers, and ensuring an exceptional experience for families.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Program Quality:

  • Oversee curriculum implementation across all classrooms
  • Ensure lesson plans are developmentally appropriate and consistently executed, including materials and resources
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide timely feedback
  • Maintain high-quality standards aligned with Texas Rising Stars and Cognia accreditation

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Coach, mentor, and support teachers through ongoing feedback and training
  • Lead professional development, staff meetings, and curriculum planning sessions
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff in the classroom
  • Conduct performance evaluations (90-day and annual reviews)

Compliance & Operations:

  • Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards
  • Maintain accurate records, classroom documentation, and program visibility
  • Monitor classroom environments, materials, and overall quality

Family & Community Engagement:

  • Support parent communication, conferences, and meetings
  • Conduct tours for prospective families as needed
  • Assist with school events, marketing efforts, and community engagement

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Partner with Owner and Director of Operations on hiring, planning, and budgeting
  • Contribute to annual planning, school events, and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Director in a licensed childcare facility (Texas required)
  • Strong knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing standards
  • Experience with Texas Rising Stars and/or accreditation systems preferred
  • Familiarity with Conscious Discipline or similar approach preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new systems
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and lead in a fast-paced environment

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and events, active presence in classrooms and around the school.
