Summit is looking to hire test prep tutors for in-home, one-on-one, and in-school group classes to serve Hartford, West Hartford, and surrounding suburbs.

Founded in 1988, our team of experts has calmly, caringly, and expertly guided thousands of families through the process of preparing their students to be critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Today, Summit Educational Group is part of Guidewell Education, a newly-formed, mission-driven company representing a range of successful legacy brands in the education space. Our family of brands includes Applerouth Education, ESM Prep, College Match Point, UES, Metro Academic Prep, and Launch Precollege Labs. Together, Summit and these brands provide a full suite of services including academic tutoring, college counseling, executive function coaching, and test preparation to students across the world.

New tutors go through paid training to provide them with extensive knowledge of both the SAT and ACT, as well as pedagogical strategies to help tutor different types of students. We also provide regular supplemental training to help tutors stay aware of changes to both tests and pedagogy, including class room instruction training.

• This tutoring position is part-time, and you set your hours and caseload. Tutors can work with as few as 3 students or as many as your schedule allows each week.
