The Role

Are you passionate about supporting international students and creating unforgettable experiences?

The Resident Assistant (RA) position is a dual-role position which combines housing and residence life responsibilities while also contributing to our activity program.

This position requires flexibility and requires you to wear many hats, have a proactive mindset, and strong organizational and leadership skills.

You will report to the Housing Coordinator for RA duties and the Activities Manager for Activity Leader tasks.

Responsibilities

Resident Advisor (RA) Duties :

• Student Supervision : Oversee the daily well-being, safety, and discipline of students in EF residences.
• Dormitory Management : Conduct weekly room checks, prepare detailed reports, and follow up with the Housing and Maintenance teams on any concerns.
• Problem Resolution : Act as a resource for students, addressing concerns, complaints, or emergencies effectively and calmly.
• Administrative Support : Assist with weekend check-ins and check-outs, on-call duties (including overnight emergency phone coverage), and other tasks as assigned by the Housing Coordinator / Director.
• Community Building : Help create a welcoming and supportive living environment through positive role modeling and leadership.
• Crisis Management : Lead and manage situations effectively during emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
• Communication : Keep the Housing management updated on residence issues, conflicts, and student needs.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
