Community Care Nurse Manager

As the Community Care Nurse Manager, you will create an environment where nursing professionals are supported, developed, and empowered to deliver exceptional care. Through collaboration with interdisciplinary partners, you will strengthen clinical operations, promote evidence-based practice, improve the Veteran experience, and lead initiatives that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Lead, supervise, and provide strategic direction to nursing staff and the assistant nurse manager, when assigned, to support safe and effective Community Care operations.
• Strengthen patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety by evaluating care delivery, performance indicators, and the effectiveness of nursing services.
• Improve clinical workflows, operational efficiency, and resource utilization by reviewing work processes and implementing meaningful changes.
• Develop staffing schedules, complete employee performance evaluations, and address performance or conduct concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Identify employee development needs and coordinate education, training, competency validation, mentoring, and reorientation to build a highly skilled nursing team.
• Create and implement action plans that respond to changing service needs, care-delivery challenges, and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Foster a collaborative, respectful, and high-reliability work environment by modeling servant leadership, resolving conflicts, and promoting shared purpose across the interdisciplinary team.
• Advance evidence-based nursing practice by encouraging staff participation in quality-improvement activities, supporting sound clinical decision-making, and promoting effective use of resources.

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
