New Home Consultant Summary:

The New Home Consultant & New Home Consultant Trainee’s primary focus is to administer/coordinate the new home purchase process & close of escrow with the ultimate goal of creating “tickled, delighted and happy” customers. In this role you will sell, process, & close homes in accordance with company business plans, adhering to the company’s selling philosophy when serving our home buying & realtor customers, utilizing all selling/organizational tools provided. This includes accompanying them through the Welcome Home Centers, undecorated models (which may be at various stages of construction), and/or available homesites.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely & consistent follow-through with current customers from initial contact to after closing.
  • Travel throughout the local community to self-generate sales from realtor/co-broker businesses, referrals, & self-prospecting.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the competitive marketplace (including product, site, local community, sales, advertising, & demographics).
  • Monitor and record daily customer traffic, utilizing company-designated tracking tools.
  • Participate in homeowner orientation(s) required by the division, & where appropriate, work with customers on their builder option purchases.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required (college preferred)
  • 2+ yrs. of recent sales experience
  • 5+ yrs. of specific NEW home sales experience (required only for New Home Consultants)
  • Valid driver’s license & auto insurance coverage w/ safe driving record
  • Must be willing to commute regularly within the DFW Metro Area (est. 1 hr.)
  • Availability to work during peak sales times including weekends & holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel for documentation/contract calculations
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
