As a Hospital Veterinarian II at our Vetco Total Care Full-Service Veterinary Hospitals, you will be pivotal in delivering exceptional patient care using high-quality medical equipment and collaborative support from a dedicated team. This is your opportunity to excel in veterinary medicine while leading your team to provide next-generation full-service veterinary care.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver top-notch patient care through thorough examinations, diagnostics, and treatment plans based on patient needs and lifestyle.
  • Adopt a problem-based approach for every patient, generating comprehensive assessments, differential diagnoses, and tailored diagnostic plans.
  • Maintain meticulous medical records documenting exams, findings, treatment plans, and patient communications.
  • Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including spays / neuters and dental surgeries.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for hospitalized patients while ensuring continuity of care with referral facilities.
  • Additional Duties :

  • Participate in shift transitions with incoming and outgoing doctors.
  • Share knowledge and foster an environment of continuous improvement among staff.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Supervision :

    You will receive direct supervision from the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director, ensuring adherence to high standards of patient care.

    Skills Required :

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • Active veterinary license and DEA registration in the respective state.
  • Experience performing anesthesia and routine surgical procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with compassion and professionalism in all interactions.
  • A collaborative mindset willing to learn and share innovative ideas.
  • Work Environment :

    Your role will take place primarily in the Vetco Total Care veterinary hospital, involving physical activities such as lifting, bending, and extended standing.

    Impact :

    This position significantly contributes to our practice's growth and the delivery of a high standard of care, fostering a motivated and well-trained team that enhances employee retention, patient health, and overall customer satisfaction.

    Compensation : The salary range for this role is $79,700.00 - $169,200.00 per year, determined by factors such as location, experience, and applicable regulations. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and financial benefits, 401K, and paid time off.
