OK-SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City
At SSM Bone & Joint Hospital at St. Anthony – Oklahoma City, we specialize in joint replacement surgeries and orthopedic care. We treat patients undergoing knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as spine surgeries, and we also provide care for orthopedic emergency room admissions.
Our unit is renowned for delivering exceptional care in joint replacement surgeries, with patients typically staying between 2-4 days. However, the length of stay can vary depending on the type of surgery, post-operative care needs, complications, and other factors.
As a nurse at SSM Bone & Joint Hospital, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing joint replacement and spine surgeries. This includes monitoring and assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and managing post-operative care. You'll also assist with the admission and care of Ortho ER patients, working closely with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Additionally, you'll educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes, as well as document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
We're seeking candidates with a valid nursing license (RN). Experience in orthopedic or surgical nursing is preferred, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You'll need to be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
We place a high value on culture and are dedicated to building a unit with both experienced nurses and those eager to learn. Creating a positive atmosphere is very important to us, and we aim to build a unit that everyone enjoys being a part of.
If you're interested, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our team, delivering exceptional care to our patients at SSM Bone & Joint Hospital.
