Hillcrest Hospice, Bellevue, Nebraska, United States of America Job Description Chaplain Hillcrest Health Services is looking for a full-time Chaplain to join the hospice team in Omaha, NE The Chaplain is responsible to provide spiritual, emotional and bereavement counseling services to support the patient, family, team members and outside community partners, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual leaders. Provide pastoral, spiritual and bereavement support to all hospice patients to meet immediate and plan of care needs. Complete all charting and visits timely in accordance with state and federal regulations. Respond to referrals, conduct hospice informationals and lead the consent process for new patients. Design, prepare and preside at liturgical services of prayer or worship as needed. Actively participate in the interdisciplinary team process to identify, communicate and resolve spiritual challenges the patient and family are facing. What do you need to be considered? Bachelors degree in Theology, Religious Studies or similar field required. At least two years of experience providing pastoral services to individuals through serving a local church, parish, synagogue or in healthcare required. At least one year experience providing pastoral service with patients, families and caregivers addressing death / dying issues and bereavement in a hospice or healthcare environment preferred.
