Job description

The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota is hiring a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team! The preferred applicant will be an experienced veterinary or medical professional with an interest in inventory, pharmacy, project management, and collaboration between multiple departments.

Role Title : Pharmacy Technician, CVT or CPhT - Non-credentialed candidates eligible for consideration based on background, knowledge, education, and other factors

Shift : 2pm -12am

Schedule : Fixed

  • Weekends Required (50% per month)
  • Holidays are required (four per year)
  • Schedules are locked in six weeks into the future, so we cannot make changes without your approval within that time frame.

The primary function of the Pharmacy Technician is to assist the in the acquisition of pharmacy-related inventory and supplies, along with other tasks in the hospital. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician is expected to promote professional growth through education and learning opportunities. This position will report directly to the Pharmacy Team Lead.

  • This is a non-animal handling role. Although you will not physically be handling patients often, you will work closely alongside them while focusing efforts to providing the best client care and support possible to both clients and the referring community.
