One Safe Place Macon, an initiative of Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia, is seeking candidates for the position of Child & Family Services Coordinator.

One Safe Place Macon Family Justice Center (FJC) is a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary, co-located service center that provides services to victims of interpersonal violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder or dependent adult abuse, and human trafficking, all under one roof. Both public and private partner agencies assign staff on a full-time or part-time basis to provide services from one location. The core concept is to provide one place where victims can receive services, such as talking to an advocate, planning for safety, interviewing with a police officer, meeting with a prosecutor, receiving medical assistance, receiving information on shelter, and getting help with transportation. FJCs focus on reducing the number of times victims tell their story, the number of places victims must go for help, and aim to increase access to services and support for victims and their children.

As One Safe Place Macon provides essential services, this position will require working on-site.

This position is funded by Byrne Discretionary funds through the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) of the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The Child & Family Program Coordinator provides coordination and support for Camp HOPE Central Georgia and Pathways Programming as well as child and family initiatives within the One Safe Place Macon Family Justice Center.

· Serve as a welcoming and supportive point of contact for individuals entering One Safe Place Macon with children or dependents in their care.
· Assess the immediate needs of children and families, provide compassionate support, and connect them with appropriate on-site services, community resources, and child- and family-focused programming.

Camp HOPE and Pathways Program Coordination (Camp Hope America Central Georgia is a program of One Safe Place Macon and is Georgia's first affiliated Camp Hope America program. Pathways is a year-round mentoring program that supports children impacted by trauma while Camp Hope provides an evidence-based, hope-focused five-night sleepaway camp for children impacted by trauma)
